The first meeting of the summer will be:
Tuesday, June 24th
8:00 - 9:00 PM
Student Union, Cedar Key, Room 223
Facebook Event.
Also, our first two meetings will be held in a boardroom that holds only about 15-20 people. So, please don’t bring a lot of extra people with you and prepare for the possibility that you may be standing or sitting on the floor. Get there early to ensure yourself a seat!

I also changed some general layout and design type things. On the Sidebar, I added a quote box, which I will try to update and change on a regular basis, but no promises. There is also a spot for Latest Pics, where you can see what our latest Gallery additions are.
The Media Page has been revamped again. I added Barack Obama {dot} com’s Youtube Channel, as well as little preview buttons for each section. You can also see when each section was last updated. So, for instance, I added two new Barack videos (his first General Election TV Ad and an Important Campaign Announcement) to the 2008 Election Section today, so that section says as such.
The Links Page has a couple new additions, as well as some Barack banners that link to his main site and his Youtube Channel. A couple Facebook Groups of Interest have also been added.
A few Upcoming Events have been added:
First Meeting of the Summer
SFBO’s Countdown to November
The 2008 South Florida Democratic Party Summit
And, finally, I added a page dedicated to Barack Obama, which can be found under Pages in the Sidebar. There, you’ll find some quick links, as well as Latest News and Latest Videos Widgets, courtesy of Barack Obama {dot} com.
Our Political Affairs Director, Miki Hirama, is currently working on updating our Issues Page, so stay tuned for that!

Hello all!
So sorry to neglect the site for so long, but things have been busy! The club participated in a Dodgeball Game, hosted by Hard Knocks (a gaming center). We also donated $50 to their “Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament Charity Event”, with the proceeds going to Child’s Play.
In return, they’re letting us bring 30 members to play games or combat simulators for FREE! That’s like a $1000 value, so be sure to thank those that have helped make it possible: VP Sam Sanders and Director of Philanthropy Sarah Martin, as well as our Dodgeball Players, Joey Martino, Ben King, Katie Harrison and Sarah Haygood. Thanks guys!
We also went camping this past weekend, which was awesome! Thanks to all those who came out and special thanks to Jacob Gardner, who organized the whole event.
Our Intramural Sports Team has been doing well and now has a Facebook Group, so definitely check that out and come out and support your Dems!
We also have a couple updates to the Upcoming Events page. There are some more details about the CD vs. CR Debate, as well as Relay for Life. We have our own Dems Relay team, so if you’re interested in joining, check out the Facebook Group.
We also added info on GAYla (the GLBSU Gala), and the early details of our End of the Year Banquet. Keep checking back for more information on that, as well as a link to a Facebook Event Page.
Aaaand, Gallery Update, including:
Super Tuesday
Primary Party at Wackadoo’s
St. Pat’s Party
Camping!

Hey guys!
First off, after taking a vote at one of our meetings, the club unanimously decided to endorse the Giery/Smith for SGA President and Vice President Campaign. Other clubs that have endorsed them:
NORML@UCF
Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood
Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity
The American Society of Civil Engineers
Kappa Sigma Fraternity
Progressive Council
CODEPINK: Women for Peace
Check out their Facebook Group.
Also, this week is National Condom Week, so our weekly topic is Reproductive Rights. At our table this week, we’ll be handing out information about Planned Parenthood and other organizations. Hopefully, if we can get a hold of them, we’ll be handing out condoms, as well.
Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood will be handing out “condom roses” and goodie bags in front of the union, in celebration of Condom Week and Valentine’s Day. Be sure to stop be and check them out!
Get Carded @ UCF is also having a VDay event: Life is Sweetest When Shared!
And finally, Fairness for All Families will be hosting a VDay event, as well: One Love. “Let us know how you feel about love, relationships or lack thereof. “
Check out the Upcoming Events page for more info on all of these awesome events!
Also, on our Links Page, we’ve recently added a bunch of affiliates:
Giery/Smith for SGA Pres. and VP
Volunteer UCF
Vox @ UCF
NOW @ UCF
Get Carded @ UCF
Fairness for All Families
Edited to Add: I’ve added a Meetings Page and a Weekly Topics Page, which can be found on the Left Sidebar under Pages. Under Meetings, we’ll post minutes from the meetings, as well as any other pertinent info.

Hey guys!
The Burnett Honors College is hosting a Voter Registration Drive on Wednesday, February 6, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
“Rock the Vote! Give yourself the opportunity to have a say in
your county, your state, your nation, and your future. Get excited, get involved, get
registered!
If you’re not registered to vote, stop by the table. It’s a simple process to ensure that you are able to exercise one of the most important rights that you have as a citizen of the United States. And remember: every vote counts!”
Also, don’t forget to keep up with the Dems Blog! We have two more posts about Barack and Hillary!

Hey guys!
Thanks to everyone who got there and voted! As you probably know, Hillary won the Florida Primary with about 50% of the vote. Unfortunately, Amendment 1 also passed.
But, on to better news. This coming Monday, we’re pleased to announce our first ever Healthcare Seminar, featuring two of the folks from Michael Moore’s SiCKO. So, be sure to come out!
Monday, February 4th
Healthcare Seminar with Dr. Mark Meaney and Donna Smith of SiCKO:
1:00 - 3:00 PM in the Student Union, Cape Florida Room 316 C
“Learn how to get care you deserve when you need it in our corrupt and convoluted Healthcare system.”
Check out the Upcoming Events page!
ETA: We’re now posting the minutes from our meetings, so if you can’t come out because of class or other commitments, you can now keep up online. For now, they’ll be posted in the News Section.
ETA2: A small Gallery Update.
