First Meeting of the Summer!

The first meeting of the summer will be:

Tuesday, June 24th

8:00 - 9:00 PM

Student Union, Cedar Key, Room 223

Facebook Event.

Also, our first two meetings will be held in a boardroom that holds only about 15-20 people. So, please don’t bring a lot of extra people with you and prepare for the possibility that you may be standing or sitting on the floor. Get there early to ensure yourself a seat!

I also changed some general layout and design type things. On the Sidebar, I added a quote box, which I will try to update and change on a regular basis, but no promises. There is also a spot for Latest Pics, where you can see what our latest Gallery additions are.

The Media Page has been revamped again. I added Barack Obama {dot} com’s Youtube Channel, as well as little preview buttons for each section. You can also see when each section was last updated. So, for instance, I added two new Barack videos (his first General Election TV Ad and an Important Campaign Announcement) to the 2008 Election Section today, so that section says as such.

The Links Page has a couple new additions, as well as some Barack banners that link to his main site and his Youtube Channel. A couple Facebook Groups of Interest have also been added.

Our Political Affairs Director, Miki Hirama, is currently working on updating our Issues Page, so stay tuned for that!

Updates

First off, meetings will most likely be every Tuesday at 7 PM during the fall semester! Watch out for Summer meeting times, either here or on the Facebook Group.

I’ve added pics of the shiny new brochures that we’ll be handing out when we table — one for the club in general, and one for Barack. They were made by the always awesome (and your new VP) Ben King, so if you see him, tell him how great they look! You can check them out in the Gallery.

Also, I reorganized the Media Page, creating sub-pages for the different categories of videos we have.  That way, there’s not an endless page of random videos.  The new categories are:

I’ve also found a new (well, new to me) Barack video by Will.I.Am. It’s in the 2008 Elections Section, but I’ll put it here, too.

Site is FINALLY Up-To-Date!

Hello all!

I finally got around to completely updating the site. Updates include:

- A new layout has been designed. I just need my tech guy to upload it into the template.

- The new officers have been added.

- The Media Page has been updated, with a link to our Youtube, some video clips from the SiCKO Healthcare Seminar we held last semester, and some of the slideshows and videos we’ve made for the club.

- The Florida College Democrats Facebook Group has been added as an affiliate. Our very own John Martino is the newly elected President, so be sure to congratulate him if you see him!

The Gallery has also been updated!

Ok, so the media page has finally been updated.  We’ve added the HR 676 video (in four parts), as well as the videos we showed about Global Warming at the last meeting.
